dog and blog

Remember this post? I surprised myself and actually turned that super cool drawing of Graces into an embroidery! She loves it. I love it. In fact, we all love it. If you don’t have any kids artworks to be inspired by, maybe you could try this one from Loobylu, or this one (pattern here) from Geninne’s Art blog. They are both pretty cool, and on my ‘to do list’.

And thanks for being patient with my blog. My hubby and I have put on our nerd hats this week and delved into the world of HTML. We really don’t have much idea what we are doing, so the blog has taken on some weird and wonderful looks as of late. Sorry if you happened to stop by at one of the ‘weird’ times. I think we are finally happy with the layout.

I LOVE this!!! My 4 yr old daughter is churning out soooo much art at the moment and I have thought of doing something like this. Have you stretched your fabric over a wooden frame? It looks fabulous. Nadine xx

That is so cute. I bet that many years from now, you will look at this little piece of art and just have to smile, remembering when it was created.

Love it - I am going to have to do this soon:)

Actually might get Amelia to draw a picture of our family - would make a great gift idea too!

thanks everyone! Cookie Cutter, I stretched the fabric over a canvas on a frame. It cost about $3 from the cheap shop. Next time I should photograph the back so you can see how it is done!
yes Kylie, I thought they would make a great gift too. Dreaming ahead for Christmas...

Hi Naomi,

Great blog! I love your dolls and this embroidered picture is such a good idea.

Robyn is an amazing midwife – isn't she? We are going to Jane's morning tea tomorrow and then seeing Robyn straight after for Rosie's 6 week check. I can't believe it's gone by so quickly!
